We Are R.I.S.E.
Our Mission: Build a thriving community hub dedicated to providing resources in support of empowerment.
R
Resources can facilitate access to tools, experiences, and support systems that promote personal development.

This includes things like learning new skills, engaging in creative pursuits, connecting with others.
s
Support systems provide a place of belonging, boost your self-esteem and confidence which are essential for growth.

Support acts as a catalyst for personal growth, providing emotional, practical, and social resources needed.
i
In a safe environment, people feel more comfortable and can focus their energy on growth, rather then on survival.

To truly grow, we must embrace vulnerability, bravely acknowledging our needs and reaching out for support.
e
Empowered individuals make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and take ownership of their lives.

Empowered individuals and communities create a ripple effect of positive change on a wider scale.
Rise addresses three vital needs: fostering self-discovery and empowerment, building community connection, and providing affordable retail.
The Journey Starts With You.
Empowerment is the first step in self-discovery.
Your Growth Changes Others.
One empowered individual creates a positive impact on their circle.
Building a Stronger Community.
Individuals working together to foster widespread positive change.
Our Story: R.I.S.E. — Resources In Support of Empowerment
Founded in 2021, the Rise Concept is more than just a nonprofit; we're a thriving community hub dedicated to personal growth, self-discovery, and collective empowerment. At the heart of our mission are over 80 dedicated volunteers, the driving force behind our commitment to strengthening North County San Diego, including Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Peñasquitos, and surrounding communities.

We believe in "cause over cash," prioritizing community impact above all else. This philosophy is embodied in Rise Resale, our affordable resale store that not only provides access to useful goods but also serves as a vital funding source. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit we channel the proceeds from Rise Resale, along with generous monetary donations, to empower and support over 10 impactful local nonprofits. Through these partnerships, we offer volunteer resources, professional services, and a pathway to self-fulfillment for individuals facing challenges.
Whether you donate, shop, or simply connect with others, you become a vital part of the positive cycle we're building. We're incredibly proud of the sense of belonging fostered here, a place where caring and kind people unite to make a difference.

To further our mission and expand our reach, we're seeking individuals like you—passionate, skilled, and willing to invest your time and experience. Join us in creating a stronger, more empowered community.

One Mission.
Two Ways to Grow.
Rise Resale: The Culture of Reuse
Choosing Rise Resale is an investment in your community. We’ve created a welcoming space where unique, pre-loved finds meet affordable prices. By giving these items a new life, you’re fostering a culture of reuse that reduces waste and sustains our planet.
The Rise Concept: Tending the Soil
Beyond the racks, your purchase provides the "sunlight and soil" for those who need it most. As a volunteer-powered nonprofit, we transform every dollar into tangible local impact—empowering survivors of human trafficking, challenged veterans, and at-risk youth.
